Sketches of ArtFork (AI youtube mini series)

V případě ArtForka mi AI vnukla jeden nápad, ne že by o to nějak usilovala, to vůbec – spíš mi při tvorbě teaseru došlo, že moje rigidní staré myšlení mi pořád vnucovalo cosi jako konzervativní vyprávění, a najednou tu byla představa, že ArtFork vypadá v každém díle jinak, stejně jako NamástPrstý, že mohu tvořit jako deset tvůrců a ne jeden a že je to jedno a taky! že se nemusím zlovolně držet své vlastní předlohy, tak jak jsem ji napsal.

To je dost revoluční přístup, když uvážím, že tak jak vím, spisovatelé bazírují na své předloze a právě proto se neztotožňují se scénářem psaným scenáristy, i když zářnou výjimkou by mohl být Martin (Hra o trůny). Takže jen samotná tvorba onoho teaseru přinesla dost ovoce.

Včetně toho, že bych si přál tento mini seriál tvořit zčásti komiksově, skrz obrazy a promluvy. Uvidím. Ono to ještě nějak přijde.

I kdyby teasery byly poslední, co vytvořím, i za to jsem vděčný, protože tím zvečňuji slávu svých hrdinů z příběhů, které málokdo četl (kdo ještě čte?) a zařadí se tak do linie “pilotů”, které možná nepřežijí víc než pilotní díl, ale šanci dostali.

Rok 2024 ukáže, zda se otevřou cesty k naplnění těchto představ.

Pravda je, že jsem dnes ráno sotva otevřel oko, už jsem rabošil něco v AI. Takže potenciál radosti to má, jen nesmím zapomenout, že narozdíl od malování na plátno tahle práce časem vyčerpává, protože k ní je potřeba hodně mentálních sil, kdežto k malování – inspirace a vlastní ruce.

In the case of ArtFork, the AI gave me an idea, not that it was trying to do that, not at all – it was more like when I was making the teaser that I realized that my rigid old thinking was still imposing something like a conservative narrative on me, and suddenly there was this idea that ArtFork looks like each work differently, just like NamástPrstý, that I can create like ten creators and not one, and that it’s one and the same! that I don’t have to maliciously stick to my own template as I wrote it.

This is quite a revolutionary approach when I consider that, as far as I know, writers are based on their material and that is why they do not identify with the script written by the screenwriter, although Martin (Game of Thrones) could be a shining exception. So just the creation of that teaser alone brought enough fruit.

Including the fact that I would like to create this mini-series partly in a comic style, through images and speeches. I’ll see. It will come somehow.

Even if the teasers are the last thing I create, I’m grateful for that too, because by doing so I’m immortalizing the glory of my heroes from stories that few have read (who still does?) and thus join the line of “pilots” that may not survive more than the pilot , but they got a chance.

The year 2024 will show whether paths will be opened to fulfill these ideas.

The truth is, I barely opened my eyes this morning and I was already tinkering with AI. So it has the potential for joy, but I must not forget that, unlike painting on canvas, this work is exhausting over time, because it requires a lot of mental strength, while painting requires inspiration and one’s own hands.
